[friends] Chelsea & Kelsey … my models

When I first began my career as a photographer, I was quickly able to build my portfolio because I have a gorgeous sister (perfect live in model). She has been the subject of the most random shoots I can think of but we always have fun! This was when my family was living in Fish Hawk Trails and the fields in the morning gave off a vibe like we were in this amazing deserted place in the woods.  I guess the secret is out now! It was the park with the large field in the Trails… the middle of suburbia itself. That still makes me laugh. I was attempting to go for a “high fashion” type look so after I told Chelsea and one of her best friends, Kelsey (i know… Chelsea & Kelsey- could be a reality TV show), my idea of waking up early to get the morning sun and fog, teasing their hair and wearing bright red lipstick… they laughed. realized I was serious. then Complained. so I begged. & They gave in. This was the first of many shoots but after that morning – we have never had a shoot after 8pm.

[engagement session] Abby & Raul @ the Strawberry Festival

Inseparable. The word that is used to describe this fun loving couple. I couldn’t hear enough about their love story. It all started with a smile that lead to a party Abby had no intentions of going to. See how amazing fate is? When it is meant to be, it just happens.  We went to the Strawberry Festival on Sunday the 13th. The last day and apparently the most busy! After being patient in lines we snapped the most candid precious moments between these two. They didn’t need to be posed. They were too cute just interacting with one another.

me with the awesome couple!

[engagement session] Candice & Will

A beach trip that could have been an all night shoot went amazing. Candice & Will have a chemistry with one another that most couples strive for. With just one goofy remark from Will, Candice cracked up and looked at him like, “yepp- he’s mine!” They were so warm and precious together and then the off the wall poses, by Will, made the photo session hilarious. We were laughing half the time and trying to stay focused long enough to get some good shots. It wasn’t hard to make these two interact, it was like the camera wasn’t even there. They are going to have an amazing marriage because they have a friendship & inside jokes that will keep them laughing for many years to come! Here are some of my favorites from the day.

i love this one…

and this one…

this is just captivating… ❤

[wedding] Getting Ready to become a MRS.

Every bride has a process before their big day. Whether it is dieting, tanning, massages, meditation, or making different juices in their juicer! One of my best friends since high school, Samantha Fallman [now Fowler], was the juicer.  Every time I talked to her on the phone she was trying a new type of juice for a different skin or body enhancement.  I went to visit a few times before her February wedding and when she offered me a fresh grapefruit drink at 1 in the morning… I said “why not?” So, we drove to Sweetbay in the middle of the night to get grapefruit to make fresh grapefruit juice [sooo delicious, i crave it now].  The next morning, it was a green looking juice that I didn’t venture to try… and then the day of her wedding was carrot juice. She is so healthy it makes me look like Ronald McDonald himself. The juices obviously worked, though they had little to enhance because she is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS. She was radiant on her wedding day, simply stunning, and just as perfect as ever.

here she is as we get ready at La Di Da salon in Gainesville, Fl. snaps to her hairdresser, who did a fabulous job on Sam’s hair! my favorite photo from the salon. sam looks so excited! there she is! GORGEOUS BRIDE!!

[friends & such] shooting the can

I always have a good time with Katie Anilionis.  Whether it is in Mexico or in the comfort of our own country. While visiting her last year she decided it was time for me to learn how to get my grunge on… and shoot random objects. After a few missed shots at the large body of water, I decided I was ready to shoot an open coke can. Why would I believe I can shoot a coke can when I can’t even shoot a body of water? One does not know. So, after that attempt Katie decided it was time for her to give it a go and within the first round the can explodes! She got it! I love the photos of this gorgeous outdoor space. Simply beautiful both the scenery and the friendship.

[wedding] it’s all about the make-up & hair

a couple years ago, i had the opportunity to take photos of one of my best friend’s sister while she was getting ready for her wedding. i had no idea who her husband was at the time but just two weekends ago at my best friend’s wedding I got to meet him too! they are such an adorable couple.  this is another addition to the flashback mode I am in… maybe one day soon- I will get caught up to the present. as for now… the past is a blast!

[boudoir] Christina moves to New York City!

I just heard awesome news that my former roommate and DZ sister is moving to New York City! So, since I am going through a flashback photo phase… I thought I would share some of my favorites from that hilarious night. She has an infectious laugh and dance moves no one is able to replicate.  Congrats Christina! I know you will have our name [Christina] in lights!!!
